Business is like dating...

For those of you who are married...if you had proposed to your other half on your first date would they have said yes? 

So what was the difference between first date and when you (or they) popped the question?

More than likely it was time and experience... 

They had got to know, like and trust you...and you had found out enough about them to know you wanted to 'seal the deal'

Building sustainable business relationships is no different...

Let me elaborate...

I regularly get DM's on LinkedIn and Facebook from individuals trying to sell me something...

It's lazy and counterproductive.

I appreciate it can be a numbers game but just taking a few moments to understand who you are approaching and what they might need can make a massive difference.

It can be the difference between making a sale and not...The person might be 1 in 100 you have contacted that day...but to them it is 1 interaction, 1 first impression...

Make it count!

My advice: build a relationship, build some trust first, let that person get to know you more before you make any approach...

Use your sales funnel, know what stage they are at, give them value and ask for nothing...and then very little in return, let them see how great you are before you head in with an offer 😁
